Meet Susana, BSW, MSW, RSW
Hi, I’m Susana, a Registered Social Worker and the founder of Olive & Oak Wellness.

I created Olive & Oak to offer a calm, supportive space where individuals and couples feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative, with a focus on creating care that feels safe, practical, and grounded in trust.
I bring over 10 years of experience across community and healthcare settings. For the past eight years, I have worked within the medical system, including inpatient and cancer care, supporting individuals and families navigating illness, grief, and major life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life changes, drawing from evidence-based and skills-based approaches to support meaningful, sustainable growth.

As a virtual practice, I strive to make counselling accessible, flexible, and comfortable. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, grounded, and thoughtful, I would be honoured to support you.
My Story
My path into social work began with a desire to support people during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Over time, I have witnessed the strength and resilience people carry, even when things feel overwhelming, and these experiences continue to shape how I show up as a therapist with calm, steadiness, and compassion.
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, move at your own pace, and feel genuinely supported as you work through challenges.

The name Olive & Oak reflects what I hope therapy offers: peace, grounding, and growth.
